Authentic Community Centre

Authentic has been helping the disadvantaged, homeless, streeties, low income earners, people struggling with drug and alcohol dependency for the last 12 months. 5 months ago we had to move from our old premises to our our current location, 33 Hood Street.

Authentic was started in July 2013, however only found its mission 12 months ago. Since then the following has happened.

During a normal week we will reach and relate to over 150 people through our food and mentoring programs.

We have helped train 30 homeless and lower socio economic people in basic carpentry and painting and given references in this area for job seeking. Many have found some form of housing, employment and/or have quit drugs and alcohol. Every night the Hamilton Homeless Trust uses our building to provide food and resources essential to survival on a nightly basis to no and low income individuals and families living in Hamilton. They can serve up to 100 per night.

We have had loads of financial miracles that have helped us setup the Authentic Community Centre, however we have come up $5000 short. The money required is for covering Hamilton City Council and Planning costs.
