Please help me represent New Zealand in Russia. I have been selected to represent New Zealand at the AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships
Canterbury
This is such an amazing opportunity for me to represent New Zealand and do my country, Canterbury and my coach proud. We have been told that the costs are likely to be between $5000-6000, so that is what my goal is to raise.
A little about myself:
I am 16 years old currently in year 12 at St Bede’s College in Christchurch. I played rugby when I was younger but was introduced to boxing by my dad in early 2011. I have been lucky enough to have been supported by my coach, my club Redwood Boxing and Canterbury Boxing to travel to various competitions around New Zealand and I even went to Brisbane, Australia last year to compete in the Australian Golden Gloves competition where I achieved a silver medal placing.
I have been the New Zealand champion in my weight class for the last three years, cadet 40 kg in 2012, cadet 48 kg in 2013 and Junior 50 kg in 2014. I am also the current 52 kg South Island Golden Gloves Champion and North Island Golden Gloves Champion.
I have really found my passion in this sport and I really want to go as far as I can on an international level. I always try as hard as I can and leave it all in the ring!
To help prepare for this amazing experience I am heading to Hamilton, with the help of my club, to attend a training camp there. I am also heading to Australia in August to compete for the Australian Golden Gloves title.
Going to Russia would help me achieve my dreams and it would be incredible to win my weight class at the Junior World Champs and come away with an award!
Thank you so much for any assistance you are willing or able to give, it is really appreciated and I am very grateful.
Thanks guys
Thank you so much
