Raising money for myself to compete in Italy with the Climbing New Zealand Youth Team Representing NZ in August this year.
Bay of Plenty
WORLD YOUTH CLIMBING CHAMPIONSHIPS
I have fortunately been selected to represent New Zealand at the World Youth Championship this August in Arco Italy, as part of the Climbing New Zealand Youth Team.
ABOUT ME
I am 15 years old, currently attending Rotorua Lakes High School and have been climbing for the last 7 years. With my selection into the team, I have an opportunity for an experience of a lifetime.
THE JOURNEY
This opportunity involves myself, 13 other committed climbers from around New Zealand and our team officials travelling over to Arco, Italy for 3 weeks in August, from the 22nd of August to the 6th of September. During this 3 week period, our team will be competing in the Lead, Bouldering and Speed disciplines alongside competitors from all corners of the world.
TRAINING
I began climbing in 2008, training once a week with my amazing coach Lossie, and around 10 other new climbers. Currently, I train 4 times a week, twice alongside Lossie, and twice alongside other supportive and enthusiastic climbers. With the support of my coach, climbing partners and climbing gym and club, I will do my very best and continue to make the most of all opportunities.
BUDGET
All money raised will be used for myself to travel to Italy with the NZ Climbing Team, and will cover all expenses such as three weeks worth of flights, accommodation, insurance and food.
Any support you can give to realize this dream will truly be appreciated. Thank you :)

Hi my name is Bryanna Bell, (Bree), I am Year 11 at Rotorua Lakes High School. I live with my Mum, Nan, Poppa and Uncle but have an amazing extended family who encourage and support me to do my very best.
Climbing is my passion, I train hard and really value the supportive climbing community and the friends I make at competitions. At school I am aiming for excellence in NCEA level 1, PE and Art are my options this year.
Amazing support! 13 May 2015
Wow, that was so exciting to see my goal reached, thanks so much everyone. Any extra money will be used for training, a climbing world youth team camp in Christchurch and competitions leading up to Italy. I competed in the Rotorua Regionals last weekend, great climbs set which challenged me but were also fun. I came first in the Under 18 group. Next competition is in Hamilton next weekend. Here is a photo from the Rotorua competition with my coach Lossie. Once again, thanks everyone for your amazing support. Bree
