- The feasibility study is complete.
- The Resource Consent has been granted.
- Land ownership has been obtained.
- Full development costings completed, now we need your help.
The Edgeware Pool will be a year round facility with:
- A fully accessible heated indoor pool
- A fully accessible heated outdoor pool
- Landscaped grounds with picnic areas
- Car parking
- Cycle parks
- Meeting rooms
- Fully accessible toilet and shower facilities
The history of the swimming club goes back more than 100 years and The St Albans Pavilion and Pool Inc have been working for years to re-instate this community facility that was demolished in 2007.
The funds raised are considered a donation, however, if the facility does not proceed for any reason, donations through this site will be distributed to a charitable cause in accordance with the Pool Group Trust Deed.
The St Albans Pavilion and Pool Inc was established to bring back the community swimming pool to Edgeware. The fundraising for The Edgeware Swimming Pool is managed by The St Albans Pavilion and Pool Inc (a registered charity). The same team that has worked for years to secure the land, the resource consent and complete the plans.
We are aiming to raise $5m to build the full, all year facilities. All funds will be used for the specific purpose of building all required facilities from the pools to the picnic tables.
