To provide a safe learning environment for the children of Harisiddhi village in Nepal whose school was destroyed in the April earthquake
International
On April 25th, 2015, a 7.8 earthquake struck Nepal and collapsed nearly an entire village in Nepal called Harisiddhi, around 90 km east of Kathmandu near the Tibet border. In that village, the primary school crumbled to the ground. The 56 students that studied there are now attending classes outside on the ground. However, monsoon season is here and they need a permanent structure to stay dry while they attend class. We have started by providing backpacks, school supplies, and water bottles to help them carry on with their studies after the disaster. Our next step is raising $4,500 to reconstruct this schoolhouse. This fund includes all supplies for the building, transportation of supplies, and labor necessary to complete the project. I met Expansion whilst volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in 2013, He has many friends in New Zealand, individual donations to his Nepalese fund incur $25 transaction charges. This page will greatly reduce the bank charges.
