A Heart Rate / Pulse monitor, monitors fluctuations in Blood Pressure, And Atrial fibrillation (also referred to as AFib)

Manawatu / Whanganui

A Heart Rate / Pulse monitors the fluctuations in Blood Pressures, and Atrial fibrillation (AF or A-fib) is an abnormal heart rhythm characterized by rapid and irregular beating. The AfibAlert™

Hi, my name is Terry, and I live with a heart condition called Atrial fibrillation (AF or A-fib) it's an abnormal heart rhythm characterized by rapid and irregular beating.

If something went wrong with your heart, would you know it?

Not all heart problems come with clear warning signs. There is not always an alarming chest clutch followed by a fall to the floor like you see in movies. Some heart symptoms don’t even happen in your chest, and it’s not always easy to tell what’s going on. "If you're not sure, get it checked out," "In most cases, it's caused by something that's easy to fix, like too much caffeine or not enough sleep,"But occasionally, it could signal a condition called atrial fibrillation that needs treatment.

I NEED YOUR HELP - I need ’Heart Rate/pulse Monitor'

This monitor isn’t Govt funded, acts as a simple to use post event recorder that tells me (the patient) immediately whether or not I am currently in Atrial fibrillation, and need to report to the hospital for further treatment. The 45 second recording process, this is relayed to the monitoring centre. at various times over the course 24 hours. All transmitted events are analyzed and a complete summary report is sent to the referring physician for further treatment and analysis.

How this came about!

Not long ago a large "Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm" known as a “Triple A” measured 9.5 cms long and 4.5 cms across, it was one of the largest (Triple A's) Wellington Hospital NZ had seen. (A person dies within seconds if it bursts).

I had tissue paper thin walls. An Operation lasting 3.½ hrs was undertaken inserting large stent (synthetic pipe) through the Aneurysm below the heart. The operation was a success.

Returning to Wellington hospital every 6 months for checks to make sure it hasn’t increased in size. April 2015, this year; suffered a minor setback and underwent surgery for a pacemaker. Which is why, this monitor has been recommended to me. Some patients need round-the-clock heart monitoring.

Help Save a Life - I am asking for your help to contribute and share my campaign with Colleagues/friends

to raise the money for this 'Heart Rate/pulse Monitor' that will properly detect atrial fibrillation, that sends information back to the hospital monitoring centre

We've established this “Give a Little Page” When the monitor is no-longer required it will be donated back to the community e.g; (St John’s Ambulance organisation).

Christmas & Family  10 February 2016

Christmas is over and it was so wonderful to have time with the Grandchildren, although a slight hic-cup on Christmas day saw a visit to Thames Hospital just for a check me over, no thanks to vertigo.. "Ear infection"made the blood pressure rise.. The nurses were great and within no time the blood pressure came down with that sorted.

It was back to enjoy the family and the Mother n laws 91st birthday. A wonderful time being with the family.

I am back home now, still very much in need of the Heart rate Pulse monitor that will make a huge difference to me, but I cant do it alone. Please share my page with friends and family or even work colleagues. This monitor sends signals to the monitor centre in Wellington they are able to see straight away, if things turn to custard and get the help I need within minutes. Thank you
