Please help support this beautiful, humble Family in their battle with terminal cancer.

Manawatu / Whanganui

It started with what Foua thought was a simple doctors visit just two and a half months ago, to then being diagnosed with aggressive Bowel Cancer (Adenocarcenoma) that very same week.

After a trip to Wellington, for a further PET scan, we as his friends & family all hoped & prayed that the results would come back positive-that the cancer could be removed or a miracle would occur & he would be “cured,” but unfortunately that was not the prognosis we received.

Instead we were given the devastating news that they had found a further two tumours, and that they were both cancerous-& inoperable.

Now, at just 39 years of age, this amazing, fun loving & humble Family man is living with the reality of terminal cancer and has been given approximately 18 months to live.

Although his heart is huge, his smile still bright & his mind willing, his body has become very weak & he is in constant, chronic pain & is now unable to provide for his family.

The Foua's have now been left without a full time income, ongoing medical & living costs & no life insurance to call upon. His devoted wife Mele (a stay at home Mum) is unable to work as she now looks after both her husband & her two sons full time while facing health issues of her own.

In amongst this devastating news & all the pain & heartache that comes with it, this beautiful LDS family has shown incredible strength, faith, humility & an amazing positive attitude filled with gratitude & love.

They have come to a place of acceptance & peace, trusting that someone greater than them is in control & comforted by their belief that families can be together forever.

As with any patriarch of the family, Foua's main concern above anything else is for his beloved wife & children & It is our hope that we can help our dear friend & brother fulfill one of his last wishes-& that is to help his two boys "become all that they can be."

To the Foua family, it is the simple things that matter the most-the quality time he will miss with his boys, the piano lessons he will never see them complete, the swimming lessons that he once loved so much himself that he wanted to pass on to them, seeing them complete their education & serve 2-year volunteer missions for the LDS Church as he once did, witnessing them marry their eternal companions & holding his very first Grandchild.

This is a family that you would fall in love with, if you knew them the way we do. They do not have a lot when it comes to material possessions-but what they do have, they would gladly give to those who were most in need. Throughout their 17 year marriage they have stood side by side & selflessly helped others, served tirelessly within their community, shared their talents & given hours of heart felt volunteer service within the LDS Church that they belong to.

It is now time for us to "Give a Little" back. The funds we raise together will help towards their living & medical costs, eliviate any pressing financial burdens & enable us to help our dear friend Foua fulfill his wish in seeing his boys "become all that they can be"-whether he is here with them on earth-or watching over them from heaven.

Please share this link with your networks and help this beautiful family ease their stress during this time.

My Husband & I have been close friends of this beautiful family for over 23 years (combined) but here, we represent many of their friends & family who are wanting to show their love & support in any way they can through such a devastating time. This is just one way that we can give back to a Family that has given so much, to so many. Please help us support them.
