Waikato
On Sunday the 5th of July Raewyn and her daughters returned home from Church to find that their home in Te Awamutu had been ruthlessly destroyed by fire. The flames began in the laundry and tore through the house causing extensive fire, water and smoke damage. Raewyn is a solo mother working as an early childhood teacher in Cambridge and is well known in both the Te Awamutu and Cambridge communities. Her daughters aged 10, 12 and 16years are hard-working school students and play team sports on the weekend. Any support for Raewyn and her daughters to rebuild their lives again would be humbly received. If you have any physical donations eg. clothing, food, furniture etc these can be dropped off at the Cambridge Elim Community Centre on Wordsworth Street in Leamington.
I first met Raewyn through Church, and now have the privilege of calling her my friend and work colleague.
