Caroline won a battle with breast cancer 6 years ago but has recently been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. The Carter family are well loved in the Fiordland community for their passionate support of community projects and now it is the community's turn to support them.

It was with great sadness we learnt of the death of Caroline. Fond memories of our time staying in the Bunk Barn in Coverdale, Yorkshire.

I only lived in Te Anau for 6 months many summers ago but I've never forgotten Caroline's infectious positivity and enthusiasm for life - she is an inspiration. That summer holds many special memories for me and the Carters were one of them. RIP Caroline - I know you'll be doing great things up there. Much love to John, Jasper and family x
