I'm a mid-aged lady and have a musical passion as far back as before 6 years of age, when I first began piano lessons.
I have studied naturotherapy and have acquired considerable knowledge in this field.
My children are aged between 19 years of age and 37, whom I am immensely proud of and love incredibly.
I face a huge financial problem pertaining to my maxilliofacial/dental circumstances which is not funded under the public dental healthcare system. To add to my predicament of great urgency I have no medical insurance and no assets so that I could raise the funds required to resolve the situation faced
Due to severe shrinkage of my upper and lower gums there is inadequate jawbone and gums to support replacement dentures. I have been unable to wear any lower teeth for a long time now and the top denture is barely secured in place, is broken and barely usable. Upper bone and gum remaining means a replacement set of top teeth will not solve my dental situation and because the lower gum/bone is beyond any possible solution to avoid a liquid diet for life.
The recommended treatment by a maxilliofacial dental specialist is 4 titanium screws inserted into the upper remaining gum/bone and two titanium screws in the bottom remaining jawbone/gum which will then have permanent teeth attached. Inadequate bone means replacement dentures is not an option. The screws are essential.
This cost is huge as I realise and the need is one that lengthy time delay is not on my side to avoid facing a liquid diet for life.
The total cost amounts to $38,600.00.
Raised funds will cover the cost of treatment which needs to commence by the end of May 2015.
