Laura is not just another young pop star wannabe! It’s not about the fame, it’s about a genuine love of music and a very real passion for sharing it. Forget X Factor auditions, real musicianship is about hard work, dedication and talent. This amazing New Plymouth based 14 year old has all these in excess. Laura has won herself a place at a 10 day A Cappella Academy in Los Angeles in July 2015. A Cappella is a musical style of vocal performance made popular by movies such as 'Pitch Perfect'. A Cappella Academy provides motivated, talented young artists with a unique creative environment where they can develop their skills as vocalists, beatboxers, arrangers, music directors, songwriters, and producers. It brings together some of the most forward-thinking minds in the field of a cappella to help Laura discover new skills, and to hone the skills she has already. Selected from almost 600 international submissions, she hopes that supporters will help her by assisting in meeting the cost of this amazing opportunity.
