Luke Andrew, NZ Soapbox Champ USA Campaign July 2015

$1,650 of $12,000 goal
Given by 13 generous donors in around 3 months

11yr old Luke Andrew wants to be competing in the USA with his family beside him.

Auckland

We're seeking funds so Lukes mum & brother can travel with us to Akron, Ohio in July 2015.

Luke is the 2015 New Zealand Soapbox derby Champion and is off to the International All American Soapbox Derby (AASBD) to represent New Zealand.

Luke has been a valuable crew member of the Waitakere Primary School Soapbox Derby team since 2012. First competing as a driver in 2014 and in 2015 coming runner-up to teammate Harry Ward-Colman in the West Auckland Champs in very trying weather conditions.

The 2015 Nationals were even more trying on a personal level has he coped with being wrongly disqualified on his 1st run and a mum fresh out of surgery.

To have brother Josh at is side will be an advantage because Josh is a capable soapbox driver and budding race car engineer/designer. Josh will also learn so much from the top level international competitors in ways of aerodynamics and essential car setup.

We intend to bring back as much parts, tools and knowledge as we can possibly fit to pass on to other schools for their soapbox cars.
