I've been selected to compete for NZ at the Masters World Road Cycling Champs in Denmark in September. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm Michael Jones and I am very excited and proud to have been selected to represent New Zealand at the UCI Masters World Road Cycling Champs in Aalborg Denmark on September 6th 2015. To represent New Zealand after competing for 27 years is a dream come true, and I cant wait to get to the start line!
To represent one’s country is a huge privilege and it is an honour to wear the black jersey at the World Cycling Championships, so this was too big an opportunity to miss. The race in which I will be competing is over a distance of 164 km and will be undulating with a cobbled downhill finish. Judging by the pictures of wind turbines in the area and the race organiser's report it appears that this particular area is quite windy which should make, very interesting and exciting racing.
So now the challenge is sourcing some financial assistance as Cycling NZ is unfortunately not able to assist with any funding for cyclists participating in this event. At this stage the biggest expenses are the air ticket and accommodation for the week that I will be there. Other things I have to pay for include transportation for myself and my bike, entry fees, meals, insurance, and hire fees for specialist equipment such as a wind trainer. Every cent raised through this page will be going solely towards the cost of this trip.
If anyone is interested in offering any donation to help get me there it would be greatly appreciated.
Finally I would just like to thank my family and friends for all their amazing support over the years as this would not have been possible without that support and encouragement.
Cheers
Mike

Mike has left!! 31 August 2015
Hi everyone, just a quick update. The training has finished, and Mike flew out tonight to San Francisco, then onto Frankfurt, then onto Copenhagen! His last three weeks were intensive, with plenty of power work to develop speed. He also did a number of anaerobic sessions, guaranteed to provide good sprints and bridging skills. So now, he can be texted, but keep an eye on the UCI website for results. He races next weekend, and I'll update the exact time and results when I get a chance. There are over 100 riders in his race, with many countries fielding multiple riders, so Mike will need all his tactical awareness to be there with a chance! Go hard Mike, we are all behind you!
