Mt Pleasant Memorial Community Centre serves the community of Mt Pleasant and surrounding suburbs. In 2011 it was destroyed by the Canterbury quakes. The building is owned by the community and is not a Council facility. Help the community build back the community centre and let's create a vibrant heart where people are what matters most.
The Association owns and runs the centre on behalf of the community of Mt Pleasant.
Mt Pleasant Memorial Community Centre & Residents Assn. Inc. owns and runs the Mt Pleasant War Memorial Community Centre. The centre was originally establishedby the community in 1954 for the benefit of the residents of Mt Pleasant and the wider area. The centre was demolished as a result of the 2011 Canterbury quakes and final funding is now being sought for its re-establishment in 2015.
