Please help our Junior Swimmer, Shelby Brothers get to the Commonwealth Festival of Synchronised Swimming in Perth, Australia.
Auckland
I am a Junior swimmer from North Harbour Synchro and I am going to attend the Commonwealth Festival of Synchronised Swimming which will be held in Perth, Western Australia 3-5 September 2015. We would be grateful for your support to get me from Auckland to Perth.
Synchronized swimming is currently only an 'optional' Commonwealth sport and this festival is being held to prove that synchro is alive and well and should be re-introduced as a 'core' sport.
Over ten countries are sending teams to this event including South Africa, England, Scotland, Malta, Singapore and Malaysia, Australia, Canada, Indonesia and The Philippines.
Please help me to keep my sport alive, and experience this amazing opportunity to compete against and form friendships with other swimmers from all around the world, who will inspire and challenge me. It would mean a lot to myself and my fellow swimmers as we have been working hard on our routines for a long time, both in the water and out. Synchronised swimming is something we all love - the teamwork, music, costumes and even the long hours of training to increase our flexibility, fitness, endurance and ability to hold our breath for long time!
The total cost for me to get to Perth is NZ$2,500 and your help would make this dream a reality. Thank you!
