Help Pania get the treatment she urgently needs
Nationwide
Over 7 years ago Pania met the man who would be the love of her life.
After somewhat of a whirlwind romance they discovered that she was pregnant. In November 2008 their daughter Aeneas was born. Less than a year they welcomed their second daughter, Gaia, into their family. Then in April 2012 they celebrated the birth of the 3rd child, a boy they named Aramis (from the 3 musketeers).
Roll forward to November 2014, the kids are now 6, 5 and 2, and Pania is given the terrible news that she has stage 4 Bowel Cancer. Not only that, but it has metastasised and spread to her liver, ovaries and her peritoneal membrane. That as such it is essentially inoperable & incurable and that wihout treatment she only has weeks, maybe months, to live unless she undergoes extensive chemotherapy as a treatment to extend her life, and even then it may only give her 12, maybe 24, months.
Pania's only thought through all this is her children. Not wanting her kids to grow up without her, Pania decides that she is going to fight this and not surrender to it and to prove the Doctors wrong.
Over the following week, while still waiting to hear about the chemo, Pania and her fiancé trawl and search through the internet seeking alternative treatments and success stories of others who have done likewise.
They come across a story of a man sent home with only 8 weeks to live after failed chemo. He comes across a story about VitaminC therapy and gives it go, only to find 10 weeks later that he wasn't dead, but that his cancer had shrunk considerably. This inspires them to look into this treatment further.
Pania's fiancé discovers a place in Remuera who do this therapy, only to find that the treatment itself is not cheap.
So with 3 kids to feed, Pania and her family are asking for you to help them by donating so that she has a chance to see Aeneas, Gaia and Aramis grow up.
Please help them and donate.
Thanks
week 3 of VitaminC treatment 21 December 2014
Not much to update you all on this week, so sorry for the shortness of this update.
We've now hit the 3 week mark and things are continuing to go well for Pania and her treatment. Up until now, Pania has continued to work and is now on leave for the Christmas break. She will be maintaining treatment over this time.
Thank you again for all your donations and messages of support and love.
