In April 2016, eight of our students and three of our teachers will be traveling to Gallipoli hopefully with your help!

Papatoetoe Intermediate School, in conjunction with the Pearl of the Islands Foundation is proud to support the tour of 8 selected students and three staff members to Gallipoli in April 2016. We will be there for just under two weeks to commemorate our ANZAC veterans who fought during World War One. This is the third year that our school has participated in this study tour.

The tour is carefully designed to develop leadership and to promote peace by developing cross cultural understandings and reviewing shared historic events.

Please help us to give this once in a lifetime opportunity to our students. Their ability to investigate New Zealand's important historical events from new perspectives and to appreciate our cultural similarities will strengthen our communities. We appreciate any support offered and we thank you in advance!

About us

In April 2016, eight of our students and three of our teachers will be traveling to Turkey, Gallipoli. We will be there for just under two weeks to commemorate our veterans who fought in the ANZAC war.

We will be escorted through the city by the Pearl of Island Foundation. It is our wish to give this once in a lifetime chance to our students and allow them to experience life changing events through this remembrance. We appreciate any support offered and we thank you in advance!
