Beautiful Bella has been the victim of a drunk driver double hit and run. Now we need help to raise the money for her treatment.

Nelson / Tasman

Our Beautiful Bella has been the victim of a drunk driver double hit and run, meaning the driver (in an unknown work vehicle), was driving well over the limit when he hit poor Bella dragging her a few meters down the road. He proceeded to get out of the car and freak out about refusing to lose his job for a dog and as her owner Mick tried to save her from under the car, the man got back in the 4WD and dragged her a further 7 meters down the road before she could get out.

Mick was devastated but his little girl pushed through the pain and thanks to Stoke Vet has been operated on and is lucky to be alive if only just. She has to be administered medication on a weekly basis to allow her to heal and currently cannot move much so has to be carried everywhere.

Mick has given everything he has and sold everything he owns to pay to keep his girl alive. He is the type of person to give to every one else but never ask for anything in return and in his bond with his beautiful dog they have both pulled through by the hairs on their neck to stay together. She is his world, his furbaby, and he is struggling to fund her recovery - managing by paying her bills instead of eating for an evening (as you would with your baby).

We know she will recover the vets have been very positive that her recovery will be imminent, so there will be a beautiful success story to share with those who help.

Please help us to give Bella her life back and get Mick his beautiful girl up and running again; because no one deserves to lose a dog to this type of incident.

Bud Wagstaff's involvement (page creator)

I am involved because Mick is a dear friend of mine and his beautiful Bella is my furbaby's mumma-bear. I decided to start this page because Mick has never asked for any help when it comes to anything, he will always find a way without inconveniencing any one else. He has also just lost his home to unforseen circumstances where his landlord needs to move back in to her house and his home was broken into with precious items of his own stolen from him.

He has had a string of bad luck and still keeps getting back up on the horse to help others and do as much as he can to keep Bella alive and well.

I am involved because I want to see this amazing man and friend have some good luck bestowed upon him and allow him to keep his fur soul-mate. He would never ask, therefore, I ask on his behalf for your help.
