Scotty Delemare - The Next Step

Most of you will be aware that Scotty has been battling a serious and recurrent medical condition for a number of years. He has undertaken numerous surgical and drug interventions during this period.

Throughout, Scotty has been a courageous and inspirational battler. He has continued to do the things he loves, time with his precious family, giving 100% plus to the job he loves, service to his church, and ministering selflessly to others in need.

Things have not been easy for Scotty. Those who know him well, know that the pain he occasionally admits to, is only a tiny portion of the pain he is actually experiencing. And yet he NEVER complains.

Living Valley Springs is a lifestyle centre in Queensland which offers a number of programmes which, we believe, may help Scotty to recover from his treatments, rebuild his immune system, and hopefully open possibilities for a better quality of life. Scotty would be required to be in residence at Living Valley Springs for a period of 14 days. He would be assessed on entry, and a programme would be designed specifically for him. This programme (including accommodation for Scotty and Jo) will cost approximately $10,000. The cost of air fares and supplements, for when he returns home, could push this cost to $15,000.

One hundred people donating $100 and he is largely there, two hundred people donating $50 and he is largely there, but you should feel free to donate whatever you can afford.

All money raised will be held in a special account being administered by Clark Road Chapel. Funds will be used for the stated purpose only. Any funds remaining when Scotty’s treatment is over will be donated, at Scotty’s request, to the Neurological Foundation (Please note that, as Clark Rd Chapel is acting as a conduit for the funds, the church is unable to provide tax receipts for donations given for Scotty’s treatment).

When approached about the possibility of seeking assistance with costs, Scotty’s consistent response has been that others are more deserving of this. We think Scotty is deserving of this, and we are sure that many others will think this too.
