Shelly has been hit with the Big C, help her marry Les and tick off her bucket list
Auckland
Shelly is a wonderful giving women and a great mother. She has recently been given a nasty diagnosis of lung cancer with metastasises in bone and kidneys. We want to help her through the last few months of her life and get the biggest job on her bucket list ticked off. Les proposed 20 years ago so it's time for him to make an honest women of her. Also on her bucket list is to swim with dolphins, sing with Sam Smith, see UB40 live in person but most importantly have an amazing day with Les and their daughter celebrating surrounded with those they love and who love them.
I am a very close friend of Shelly and her family and am wanting to make this more of a celebration of her life as well as helping her achieve her dream of marrying Les.
Farewell Shelly 11 February 2016
Sadly Shelly (Michelle 'Tock' Smith) lost her courageous battle with terminal cancer on Friday 5th February 2016. She suffered a stroke 4 days before and had been surrounded by her friends and family 24 hours of those 4 days. She was never alone which was her big wish and we laughed and cried and listened to her favourite music. She even had a visit from her furry babies Casper and Sheba. No more pain and there is another angel to watch over us. Sincere condolences to her husband Leslie and her children Courtney and Ben. Thanks to everybody who contributed in any way to making her the happiest bride in the world on Jan 9th. We will forever remember that smile. Thank you to the Totara Hospice staff, you are amazing people and made her comfortable and at peace for her final days. Shelly passed away at 10.30am holding her husbands hand and surrounded by family and friends. Once again thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping make her wedding day dream come true. Lianne, Tara and Sharran
