I'm taking on the charity challenge of Trekking the Great Wall of China to help raise money for those in need in South Africa.

'Shop for a Stranger' is a small cause with a huge heart for those who don't have the most basic things we take for granted every day...things such as food, clean water, warm clothing and bedding. This group was started by my friend Marisa who, like many of us, juggles all the usual demands and stresses of everyday life: full-time work, plus looking after her own children and making ends meet herself - but somehow still makes this happen too. They are currently supporting a settlement in Grabouw (near Cape Town) where with the help of an incredible local woman called Aunty Poppie they strive to feed over 200 children as many times a week as they can. No small feat... but a little goes a long way… the price of a coffee would feed 40 kids… a donation of NZ$25 would feed all 200 children!
Please sponsor me in my Great Wall Trek challenge - any amount is welcome and every penny will go to this awesome cause.
"I've been there when they run out of food and you have little hungry faces that have been waiting so long in the queue...no, not on my watch. I thank you from the bottom of my heart." - Marisa Di Giovanni Salvarto
"It always seems impossible until it's done." - Nelson Mandela
I'm involved because this good cause was started by my friend Marisa and I want to support her amazing work.
