Tamariki Toa o Te Pouahi are fundraising to attend the National Primary Schools Kapa Haka competition in Palmerston North in November 2015.

Tamariki Toa o Te Pouahi are a competitive kapa haka group consisting of 44 children (aged 6-10 yrs), selected from the Nelson Central School Te Pouahi bilingual unit. The children learn and perform waiata, poi and haka to an extremely high level for their age. They are expected to demonstrate commitment, discipline, motivation and leadership.

The parents and teachers in Te Pouahi are working hard to fundraise the costs (approx $500 per child for 44 children) for travel, accommodation, food, rental vehicles, and kapa haka materials. We need all the help we can from the family and friends of Tamariki Toa so please spread this page widely!
