Earthquake Destroyed School & Community Pool
Please help Waiau build a new pool after the Earthquake. All funds raised will go directly to Waiau for the new pool.

The swimming pool in Waiau doubled as the community and school pool. It was completely decimated in the earthquake.
The local's and in particular, the children were really upset by the earthquake. Many are having trouble sleeping as a consequence.
This project will give them something positive to look forward to and will once again be a central point for the community.

I was from Waiau once upon a time and I used to be the caretaker of the pool for a couple of years.
I'm doing this because Waiau means a lot to me and I'd like to give back.
I still have many friends there who I know are struggling

I have set up this page as I was once from Waiau and I am helping the school and community out to raise money for a replacement pool.

It's been an extraordinary year for Waiau in so many ways.
THANK YOU ! To all those that have helped and supported us along the way.
The donations and support we have received from so many individuals and businesses has been humbling, amazing and so appreciated.
The current balance is just over $330,000.
Good things take time but our local team of volunteers are still working hard on the pool rebuild project and we hope we can bring you positive news and progress in 2018.
