The Cricket Live Foundation (CLF) uses cricket as a vehicle to develop the lives of underprivileged children in Sri Lanka and India.

Canterbury

Using sport, the CLF provide the children with direction in their lives, opportunities to further themselves, and most of all, provide them with a pathway for their futures.

The CLF currently operate four centres in Sri Lanka in partnership with the MJF Foundation, the charitable arm of Dilmah Tea. The centres work with 300 children, from the Moratuwa and Siyambalanduwa areas. The children are in the programme for three years.

All centres are run by local staff and coaches.

We are a group Christchurch based High School Students and we'll be going over to Sri Lanka for two weeks in December to help fund, and run the end of year cricket tournament (Cricket Live Premier League) for the 240 children of the Foundation.

There are lots of things that we take for granted here, and the festive season is one of them.

This year we are giving up Christmas to help the children in Sri Lanka. Instead of presents this year, we are asking our friends and family to consider donating to our cause so we can give the children a Christmas for them to remember.

We will be documenting our time over in Sri Lanka so everyone can stay up to date with our work, and see the smiles that a small contribution can make in the lives of the CLF children.
