The D-carbon cycle for change. I'm cycling 1,000 miles in 1 month, fundraising for environment awareness & to kick-start Raleigh NZ. In the UK Raleigh International does great work on sustainability by sending volunteers on expedition to developing countries. We're starting a Raleigh New Zealand group so that more Kiwi youth can have the life-grow experience that Raleigh does so well. Work with communities, help their people get clean water, sanitation, community centres, and help critical conservation efforts.

Now is the time more than ever for people to collaborate, find common ground. The one thing we all have in common, all people everywhere, is how we rely on nature for life. Now is the time for a new energy future, for harnessing & developing our natural resources, not conquering or simply exploiting them.

I've done volunteer projects in the Borneo rainforest working with conservation authorities & rangers. This a magnificent ecology full of wildlife and more species being discovered. But huge palm oil plantations are planned in the heart of Borneo & will take huge swathes of rainforest out. The conservation areas need a World Heritage status to be protected. These are essential to slowing climate change & preserving a livable environment for us all.
