We are riding the length of NZ as part of Tour Aotearoa to raise money to rebuild schools in Nepal.
Otago
On February the 23rd my friend Bernie and I will start our journey down the length of the country from Cape Reinga to Bluff as part of Tour Aotearoa.
We are both involved in education and know the value of learning, it is this belief that leads us to want to make a difference for the children of Nepal.
As a result of the 2015 earthquake several schools in the Khumbu region that the Trust supports were destroyed or badly damaged.
Through our journey we hope to raise funds for the Rebuild Project for the Himalayan Trust and give these children back a place to learn.
It is thanks to the support of our friends, family and the generosity of our employers that we are able to undertake this challenge.
If you would like to see the work of the Himalayan Trust and how your money can make a difference then check out, himalayantrust.org
If you would like to follow us on our journey then check out www.touraotearoa.nz
Please find it in your heart to give so that these children can rebuild their dreams.
I am a member of the Himalayan Trust. I have been a volunteer twice in Nepal with the Trust working with teachers. I continue to be passionate about the work the Trust does and in particular its commitment to education in Nepal.

It has been an incredible journey from one end of the country to the other and what has made it so special is the generosity of people along the way. We have been overwhelmed by the amount of support and enthusiasm towards our goal. Thank you for sharing our dream and giving to the children of Nepal.
