Run 4 Honor

I have a wee girl that is close to my heart. She has taught me so much about life and about not taking things for granted. She has shown me just how precious the sound of laughter is and how some of the milestones we see as being ordinary can actually just be so amazing. how important the support of community is and the importance of having a connection with people that understand the special way in which this wee girl lives her life.

This girl is Honor Hocquard, she is my super hero! And I would love to be able to give back to her the same as she has given me.

Honor has a rare gene disorder called CDKL5 have a look at www.cdkl5.co.nz to find out about this. At the moment the family are trying to raise funds to get a wheel chair friendly vehicle - these are alot more expensive than an average vehicle with so many different features required to enable a hoist to be installed. Items like a buggy to be able to take Honor to the beach are over $2000 (with no funding for these type of items)!! And next year there is to be a gathering of the CDKL5 mums from around the world. (Venue TBA) So as I am sure you can imagine there is a lot of fundraising to be done to help this wee girl and their family.
