Wellington
This year I have decided to run the Auckland Marathon (on 1 November) in aid of two great local charities - the Mary Potter Hospice and Wellington Free Ambulance. Both of these charities do an amazing job helping people through some really tough times. Mary Potter Hospice provides free specialist palliative care services to people in the Greater Wellington Region. They care for 850 people a year. It costs over $9 million to run the Hospice, and about 50 per cent of that comes from fundraising. Wellington Free Ambulance provide free ambulance and paramedic services to the people of the Greater Wellington Region and the Wairarapa. They are the only free ambulance service in New Zealand and assist more than 130 people each day on average - 48,000 people per year. Please help me help these awesome charities keep doing what they are doing.
I'm running a marathon to help others have an easier journey.
Taranaki Daily News Half Marathon 2015 4 October 2015
Today Callum and I ran the Taranaki Daily News Half Marathon. It was a nice course but quite hilly. Callum grabbed a picture of me finishing. So, now I have done two half marathons this year. I just need to put them together for the full distance on 1 November!
