Help us re-build Mangatowai marae

All donations received will help sponsor the 're-build' of Mangatowai marae.

The Mangatowai project will aim to foster cultural interaction and new sustainable enterprises. It also includes a range of linked proposals such as solar power, encouragement of tourism within the area, craftworks, and training schemes.

A place that will benefit the tangata whenua of Mangatowai, the Whangaroa district and all of Aotearoa.

Our plan is that the seed planted during the Mangatowai Project launch on Saturday, 29 October 2005 will now grow into a tree. A tree whose roots are deeply embedded in the rich soil of our ancestors and whose branches will spread wide to shelter the generations to come.

Our dream is that this growth and shelter will nourish not just the tangata whenua but all cultures who have made Aotearoa New Zealand their home and, with their skills and labour, have helped our nation achieve its proud place in the world.
