Arriving in Auckland on Saturday to more pledges provided the perfect fuel for a great mindset to combat the Auckland downpour during the race. I thank you very much for that!
Auckland brought a very wet morning,? but still a good race and a solid 5th place at the National Champs! A last minute swim course change made for a lot of weaving between people. The bike course was super fast with hazardous aquaplaning, however still allowing for a PB by 10 minutes! The run was slippery with a lot of tight turns but a fantastic finish line! After a 2 week break, it's time to turn the attention to the World Championships in Europe. Let the training begin!
