Help Xan compete in Oceania Speed Skate Champs

    I have just been told, because of low numbers announced by the Australian team, that a decision has been made not to send a New Zealand team to the Oceania Championships, which is likely to be cancelled. I am really disappointed by this decision, but we need to have competition in order to have a competition.

    This of course means that we will be closing the campaign. Of course, I will still be skating and I will be keeping the social media going. There will be more opportunities in the future and I hope that I'll be chosen for another International competition in the near future. Meanwhile, you will be able to follow my racing and training through FB and Instagram. Thank you all so much for your faith, encouragement and support! Watch this space! I'm sure I'll be getting up to some more racing soon.

    I'd just like to say a big sincere thank you to all our supporters who have donated so far. You are all awesome! Xan is well on her way to making the target and I'm really grateful to all our friends and family for getting behind this campaign.

  • Xan appearing on Mainland TV

    As part of our campaign, we asked Mainland TV, Nelson's own television station, to come and film our Nelson skaters during one of their training sessions at Saxton park. They kindly agreed! The news article will include an interview with Xan and also her fantastic coach, Alan, who bravely agreed to stand in front of the camera. It airs tonight at 16:30pm.
