Tamariki Toa o Te Pouahi are fundraising to attend the National Primary Schools Kapa Haka competition in Gisborne in November 2017.

Tamariki Toa o Te Pouahi are a competitive kapa haka group consisting of 44 children (aged 6-10 yrs), selected from the Nelson Central School Te Pouahi bilingual unit. The children learn and perform waiata, poi and haka to an extremely high level for their age. They are expected to demonstrate commitment, discipline, motivation and leadership.

About us

Tamariki Toa o Te Pouahi is a competitive kapa haka group consisting of 44 children (aged 7-11 yrs old) from the Nelson Central School Te Pouahi bilingual unit.

Use of funds

Funds raised will cover the costs of kapa haka uniforms, travel to the event (Nelson-Gisborne return), accommodation, food and rental vehicles.
