Assist Katie Trigg to attend one of the world's most prestigious music schools.
Nationwide
Mezzo soprano Katie Trigg is well on her way towards becoming an accomplished young opera singer. Katie recently completed successful auditions in the US and has been invited to attend the Curtis Institute of Music on a full tuition scholarship, but needs assistance with the cost of relocating to and living in Philadelphia, USA.
The Curtis Institute of Music is one of the top music schools in the world, and has the lowest acceptance rate (4%) of any school in the United States. The school specialises in operatic and orchestral performance. Katie will be joining a community of musical peers which will challenge and inspire her, and connect to a network of distinguished alumni with international reach. Katie will start her studies in August 2022.
Rotary International is an international service organisation. Their aim is to bring together professional and business leaders in the prospect of providing humanitarian assistance and to further peace and altruism throughout the world.
The Rotary Club of Fairfield was charted in June 1971 and since then it has been supporting the wider Hamilton community as well international projects.
Although the scholarship covers tuition and accommodation, it does not cover travel, medical/health insurance, living expences, utilities, so we hope to cover these costs by fundraising.
