A little help would go a long way to get my sister and her boys back up and running.
Auckland
Two days ago my sister, Tania and her boys, Bailey and Aiden were affected by the storm that hit North West Auckland with a vengeance. The floodwaters raged through her garage and came within 1/2 metre of the floorboards of her home. Since Aiden was 12, he has been working weekends and school holidays to save up for his first car. At just 14 years old, he bought a Suzuki Vitara for $3,500. It was his project car to learn mechanics & work on getting it roadworthy before he got his license, so was uninsured. But sadly it too succumbed to the flood waters. We would love to be able to raise enough funds for Aiden to replace his car.
Tania has worked tirelessly over the years rescuing unwanted animals and rehoming them. She is a single Mum who juggles her own business with bringing up her boys and rescuing pups and dogs. She lost most of her animal rescue gear & dog food. Needless to say she is devastated at losing these possessions. But the one thing she is most heartbroken about is Aiden losing his precious new vehicle. Tania’s car was almost fully submerged it will also likely be a total loss. As we all know our vehicles can be our lifeline, as well as personal use, Tania used her car for her business and all of her rescues with Paws Restart.
