Our loving mum, Bridget Furlan, is currently undergoing an unfunded treatment plan to reduce the risk of melanoma returning.
Gisborne
Our mum Bid has begun a year-long course of Keytruda to reduce the risk of her melanoma returning. The treatment plan means travelling from Gisborne to Auckland every three weeks to receive each dose. This has now been amended to once every six weeks with a double dose. The treatment is unfortunately not funded and this, coupled with frequent travel to Auckland, adds up fast. Multiple surgeries have already been done to remove the chunky stuff.
Mum is the most kind and generous person we know, so we want to return the love and help ease the financial burden. We are her three children and we'll all be running our first marathon in November. We ask family, friends, friends of friends, or people we don't even know, to have a peep in their pocket and see what they can contribute. Every contribution would mean so much to all of us!
Bid is our mum and we want to give something back after all her generosity throughout the years!
100% of the raised funds will be going towards costs associated with mum's treatment.
