A Mother's Fight

A couple of years ago my mother had been diagnosed with stage IV cancer that unfortunately spread to both the lungs and the stomach. Sagaya Mary Prabhakar is a mother of two children.

Anyone who knows Mom knows her for being an honest, faithful and strong woman. All qualities of a loving mother and wife. This is honestly very devastating news that the cancer is reoccurring and that we may need to seek alternative medication.

Unfortunately, we had some bad news. After two cycles of chemotherapy, the results weren't good and the doctors stated that she still needs treatment, however, there is no government-funded treatment that they can offer. Thus we were encouraged to seek alternative therapies. Currently, the therapy we are looking at is immunotherapy drug treatment (at this time we do not know the name).

Even now, my mum is as strong-willed as ever and understands that with the proper treatment she can get through these hard times. We are currently trying to fundraise enough money to help get her the treatment she needs. A dollar goes a long way and every cent is appreciated.
