Let's keep a smile on her dial.

As many of you know, our beautiful Aaliyah lost all of her hair due to Alopecia Universalis which has impacted her life significantly. But our brave girl is a warrior and something that has helped her get a lot of her confidence back has been her Freedom Wig!
Unfortunately because she's still a child, her head is still growing, meaning that her wig needs to be replaced more frequently. And that is the case for her now.
Miraculously, she's started to see some hair growth for the first time since she lost her hair!! We are super excited but there is also the possibility that it will fall out again (hoping for the best!). Regardless, in the meantime Aaliyah will still need a wig. We are in the process of having another wig made for her, but such a specialised wig costs quite a substantial amount. This one is around $4500. We were blessed to have an excess in donations of around $800 from her last wig which will be put towards this one.
A few very kind people have said they'd like to contribute so we thought we'd put the call out there. We'd be so grateful for any donations or shares that we receive to help keep Aaliyah thriving.
So thankful for our village raising and loving on our special girl!
Blessed to be Aaliyah's mum.
Funds will go towards the cost of Aaliyah's new wig.
THANK YOU!!! 18 October 2022
Kia ora e te whānau,
I just wanted to give a little update and say a huge, huge THANK YOU to all of you who have so generously donated to Aaliyah's wig. We're so incredibly grateful for you!
With your help, Aaliyah now has her beautiful new makawe. It understandably took her a little while to adjust to her new head of hair (hence the slow update) but she is now rocking it everyday.
So thank you again, it is a very special gift you have given our girl. Thankful for our village, ka nui te aroha. ❤️
Aaliyah also wanted to let you know her hair isn't usually as messy as in the photo 😉. I think she looks stunning.
