Im the daughter of Ian Hunt who is battling his biggest fight yet..the big C. I have battled cancer and now im trying to help dad battle his

Auckland

I am the proud daughter of Ian Hunt.

Ian is the proud father of Stacey and Aaron Hunt; Much loved second father to Meagan, Llewellyn, Esme and Ashlee Wright. An accepting with open-arms Father-in-Law, to Josh, Bex and Ben. The loving lifelong Partner of Sue Wright. The best grandpa to three young sprouts, A great friend and so much more to many others.

Ian Hunt is known to many on the North Shore in Auckland after taking over Hunts Sports Store from his late father in 1990. He has helped many in the fishing community and made so many lifelong friends along the way.

Unfortunately dad was diagnosed with cancer both in the throat and heart in May this year. Since then the family has mobilised together to make the most of the time left. We have had a backyard wedding where my dad walked me down the isle, one hell of a 62nd birthday and many trips up to our home away from home for some good times... but the battle isn't over, and now we need you....

After going through radiation on the tumour by his throat and taking Vitamin C shots along with other meds, he was told that he would not be given chemotherapy due to the 'quality of life' he currently has.

Dad being Dad, doesn't take no for an answer so were going outside the box. On the 7th of August dad will be going for his first guinea pig treatment of keytruda, in an effort to buy more time. Problem being that as this drug isn't government funded and it doesn't come cheap. We also don't know if it will work but dads willing to give it a go, if not to help himself but to help the many more that may follow his path in the future.

So I ask no matter how big or small for your help to assist in the financial burden that this will create. To help relieve the stress of money so that we are able to enjoy whatever time we have left, whatever that may be. If we can get 10,000 people to donate just a dollar then we can pay for one treatment alone.

Fingers crossed that it will work!!!

We thank you from the bottom of our heart for any donations made.

Stacey-Ann England-Hunt's involvement (page creator)

Im involved as this is my dad, and I will do anything to take away as much of the burden as I can. I see in him what I had in me when I had my fight; the positivity, the strong mind, and the fight in him like no other!

Use of funds

the funds will be used to pay for keytruda a cancer fighting drug that is currently not government funded in NZ. My goal is only to pay for one treatment (8k), but anything extra (if we are so lucky) will go to the other treatments.
