Covid-19 Response urgent funds for PPE, Medical and Food supplies for Nepal .

Having visited these undeveloped countries and forming close relationship with the people in these communities I have learned that they are in very short supply of face masks, sanitisers, ventilators, PPE, medical consumables as well as shortage of food and urgently need assistance.

Having personally experienced what it is like to have situations beyond your control affect your business and livelihood my heart goes out to my friends in Addu and Nepal and I am asking for your help in funding much needed supplies as a result of the COVID -19.

The majority of the Maldives economy comes from tourism. The COVID- 19 virus has brought this small nation to its knees.

Beaches and hotels are empty, and unlikely to recover for up to 2 years. The result, families are facing extreme hardships. Quite simply without their jobs in the resorts, there is no other work. There is mass unemployment and businesses are closing down every day, never to reopen.

In Nepal it is another story – there is no financial relief or access to some basic essentials to assist people. My suppliers are in dire straits. Nepal relies on tourism and importers like myself to help sustain their fragile economy and to put food on the table.

The urgent need for medical supplies, basic necessities and quality healthcare is only increasing as more communities become affected by COVID-19. With thousands across the globe in quarantine, there is a growing need for financial support.

To give you an idea of costs the ventilator which they are in short supply of, is approximately $12,000 USD to purchase. I also have a supplier who will be making the appropriate masks and supplying hand sanitiser.

Through my suppliers and contacts I can provide up to date reports on every stage notifying you what has been purchased and updates on the communities.

Here’s where you can help, every bit counts and together by making a donation we can start to make a difference.

How can YOU donate:

Purchase my clothes from these regions ……. https://www.geckogearz.nz where I will be donating 50% of all Made in Nepal Sales.

Selling something yourself and donating the proceeds to these communities which you can upload by this Givealittle page.

A single donation here big or small every dollar makes a difference.

If you served in the RAF or RNF in Gan WW2 and prefer all proceeds to go direct to Addu please make a note as all monies will be split between the two countries.

Here are the links to my pages where Im posting.
