Support The Tree Council's development of a free mobile phone app to record special trees and also the loss of trees in our cities.
Auckland
The Tree Council launched a mobile phone app on 12 Oct that enables the public, arborists and other professionals working in our cities to record any trees they observe and also trees being removed or which have been removed.
The loss of our urban forest is a huge concern and given that most urban trees now have no formal protection this is happening at an ever increasing rate and is not being recorded.
Developed by Steven McLeod the Agile Cloud app is available for download from the Google Play and Apple Stores and is free and easy to use. We encourage everyone to get out and record the special trees around them and what they see happening to trees in their neighbourhood.
The Tree Council has launched this Givealittle page to support the development of the Agile Cloud Mobile App and we encourage everyone who is able to make a small donation towards the significant cost of developing this resource.
The Tree Council is a long-standing non-profit organisation established in 1986 to act as a steward for the trees of the Auckland region. The Tree Council exists to protect, conserve and improve the tree cover in the Auckland region, especially in urban areas.
Please help us pay for the development of the Agile Cloud Mobile App which has taken a year's work by our technical team.
