Contribute to building a school in rural Kenya for poverty stricken children.

Eight kiwis are heading to Kenya in September this year to work with a school for poverty stricken children in Mahanga village. The school is in dire need of new structures as the original, temporary buildings are falling down.
Without education the future is bleak for the next generation in this poor rural village. Research shows that education is the most effective way to end the poverty cycle, so we would love you to join with us in providing these children a safe place to go to school, and go on to provide a hope and future for themselves and future generations.
Ark Quest school is working towards becoming self sustaining, with vegetables, chickens and dairy cows all supplementing the school currently. The children are also fed twice a day, ensuring they can concentrate in school and maximise their chances of success.
NB: The team members going on the trip are all paying their own way so you can rest assured that 100% of your donation will be going directly towards the building fund.
About us
Ark Quest Trust was established to provide support for the Ark Quest Education Centre in Kenya. Ark Quest Education Centre provides education and two meals per day for over 100 students. It is a private Christian school and, though registered with the Kenyan Ministry of Education, receives no government funding. Many students cannot afford the fees and therefore funding is required for the operational expenses of the school.
Use of funds
These funds will be going directly towards costs for building a school - including materials and local labour. This will be an ongoing project if not all funds are raised immediately.

Let's Build Three Classrooms! 24 August 2019
Firstly, a huge thanks to everyone who has contributed so far, we couldn't do this without you.
Through the generous sponsorship to date, we are close to being able to build three classrooms, which would complete the first section of the new school. We have adjusted our target goal so once we reach this we are there!!
We would love you to help us reach this by sharing the mission with friends and family.
