This page was initiated by Rochelle's close friends in the upper Waimakariri valley to assist her in taking her husband Paddy Freaney's ashes to Everest. Paddy, of Bealey Hotel, Moa spotting, mountaineering and 22 SAS fame, and Rochelle Rafferty have been an integral part of our community for many years. It was with huge sadness we learned in December last year of Paddy's terminal lung cancer diagnosis. Paddy and Rochelle continued their involvement in high-country gatherings until the very end. So it is with great excitement and encouragement that we wish Rochelle well on quest to summit Mt Everest. If you can help support her on this epic adventure that would be fantastic, please visit the facebook page for updates of rochelle's trip, thanks so much.
Funds will be paid to a verified bank account of Rochelle Rafferty.
