Family. You'd do anything to save them wouldn't you? Take their place if you could, take the stress away if you could, take the pain away.

With cancer, you cant take it away from someone, no matter how much you wish you could.
In 2011 My popa won a long battle with prostate cancer, a battle well fought, I no longer feared it. Christmas 2012 My Nana found a lump on her neck, she was told it was just a swollen gland. Two weeks later it was the size of a golf ball surrounding a main artery to her brain, she was taken to South Hampton for Radiotherapy as she wasn't strong enough for Chemo within the week thanks to an amazing specialist. Everyone was shocked when she came home, and a month later it was gone.. But now its back. Luckily, in an area where it can be removed, but it is more aggressive than ever and another 6 weeks of treatment is on the books.
2013, Great Grandpa is diagnosed. A cancer that will never be beaten, he is not strong enough for treatment, and suffers from dementia... Which I suppose is a blessing in disguise.
Like they say, bad luck comes in threes right?
My mother is a very proud woman, a hard worker. Despite her best efforts over the last year, she has been unable to save enough money to take my younger sisters (10) and (2) back to the UK to meet their great grandfather before his battle is lost, and to see Nana in high spirits. And that is why I'm doing this, I was lucky enough to grow up with these two amazing people before we moved here, I just want my sisters to have the same memories before the chance is gone. All money raised will be stored in an assigned account and then tickets booked as a surprise for my family, to get us back to the UK
