Otago

Baskets of Blessing is a growing community project based in Queenstown providing support to those in physical, emotional and circumstantial crisis. Baskets full of donated gifts and surprises are carefully hand-filled and sent anonymously to those in need.

Set up by local Queenstown resident Tam Schurmann, the project provides support and love for when words just aren't enough. Recent media about Tam here: https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/good-sorts-tammy-schurmann-pays-forward-after-selfless-act?auto=6035618083001

Baskets of Blessing now also supplies nutritious family meals through our "Let's Eat!" project for those needing practical support.

Basket of Blessings works year-round, but at Christmas time there is a greater need to reach out to those who may be facing their first Christmas without a loved one, or those who are unwell, depressed, struggling financially, nursing sick loved ones or lonely.

There is no government funding for Baskets of Blessings. It is purely run off kind donations from the community and heartfelt New Zealanders like yourself. Please help us reach those going through a difficult time and make a positive difference in their lives!

If you know of someone who you would like to nominate for a basket, please visit our website www.basketsofblessing.co.nz
