Bruce needs $35,610 to pay for 8 cycles of his Bevacizumab treatments to improve the quality of his life and give him longer to live.
Auckland
Our dad, Bruce, was flown by helicopter to Auckland Hospital late September 2019 and at the age of 56 was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (Grade 4 brain cancer).
We got told the devastating news that our dad will have a 5% chance to live longer than 12 months. Despite this, he has exceeded all doctor's expectations and is still fighting for his life. However, we now need help as all public funded treatments have now been stopped due to the extent of his condition.
We’ve never met somebody more loving and caring for his family. He is overly optimistic, positive and the hardest working person we know to support all 5 of his children. Unfortunately things in life happen that you can’t control and we are asking for your kindness and generosity to help us continue to fight this battle.
We need $35,610 to pay for 8 cycles of his Bevacizumab (Avastin) treatments. This treatment is able to give him a better quality of life (such as helping him to be able to move the left side of his body again) and prolong his life.
Your donations would support our dad going through this journey, making him able to start this treatment.
We want to make more special memories with our dad and need as much time with him as we can.
This treatment gives us the opportunity to buy more time and a better quality of life for our dad.
Helping my dad have the opportunity to get the treatment he deserves to have a longer and happier life until the very end.
All funds go to supporting Bruce in his treatments.
