Kay needs our help! An MSA sufferer, Kay is having blackouts, causing her serious injury. Let's help her with home care and more!

Auckland

Our mate Kay suffers from Multiple System Atrophy - MSA is a rare neurological disorder that impairs your body's involuntary (autonomic) functions, including blood pressure, heart rate, bladder function and digestion. She was previously mis-diagnosed with Parkinsons.

Between this and the mountains of medication she's on, Kay has been having blackouts for months, several a day, some causing her severe pain and injury including head gashes, broken ribs, and a swollen face after hitting the deck face first.

Kay needs 24hr care and supervision among other things but isn't eligible for full funding. This makes it very hard for Kay's caregivers - husband Greg and daughter Anneliese - to work full time.

I'm just one of Kay's many mates who love her to bits and know that she would be the first person to help anyone else in the same situation. Kay deserves only the best and we can't do this without everyone's help. Your support for Kay is very much appreciated.

Use of funds

Funds will primarily be used to get professional home help for Kay. This will also allow Greg and Anneliese to focus solely on the ongoing care and supervision Kay desperately needs.

Overflow funds will Overflow funds will assist with anything else Kay needs to keep herself safe from further injury.
