Big tent recovery
On Thursday the 9th of September the Big Tent at the Relish site got caught in a wild storm and imploded. The area had not seen winds this strong for nearly 50 years, and the force of it bent poles, ripped canvas and sent the roof crashing to the ground, throwing the gear that was stored in it all over the floor.
Though the grandstand, stage and equipment that the Big Tent was protecting came away mostly unscathed from the ordeal, the marquee itself is in dire straits. Ben has set up this Give-a-little page to help Southern Culture Club to either repair or replace the marquee, so that many more beautiful gatherings can be held within its walls.
Any support is greatly appreciated
