In 2014, 276 young women were abducted by Boko Haram. This made international news and the #bringbackourgirls campaign was launched. There are many young women and girls whose lives have been disrupted by Boko Haram. We are working with Olutosin Oladosu of the Star of Hope Transformation Centre who is working to get all young women and girls in Hwollaza back to school. Olutsin is raising money to purchase uniforms and books and to pay school fees - and we want to help.

A small group of women came together when we met Jumoke Giwa. Jumoke is a Nigerian woman who is undertaking her doctorate study at Victoria University. We met Jumoke and she told us of the fantastic work of Olutosin. After hearing the stories of the young women and girls we decided to support the cause. Education is a right for all children and young people and we can do lots to assist these young women and girls to get what is rightfully theirs. We are a small but active group and would like your support to help us reach our goals.
About us
We are a group of Kiwis who are raising money to assist young girls, whose lives have been disrupted by Boko Haram in Nigeria, back into education. Education is this their road to freedom. Our organisation is a charitable trust.
