This give a little page has been set up to help support the continued search for Mel and for the on-going assistance for her husband and son

Mel went missing on Thursday the 20th of July 2017 in the Waikuku Beach area. With the help of police, land SAR, family, friends, lifeguards and a number of volunteers we have been searching and investigating all avenues to find her.

We will continue to do this until we find closure.

Many people have reached out from far and wide wanting to offer support for the search and the future of the family.

The funds raised from this Give a Little page will go towards the search for Mel and the future legacy of Dan, Mel and Hunter. Government sourced funding has come to an end and we are fully funding any further search efforts privately.

Our deepest thanks to everybody who is helping us on this journey, to bring our beautiful girl home. The love, kindness and generosity is overwhelming.

Use of funds

The funds raised will be used to cover the cost of the continual search for Mel, and also to support Dan and Hunter through this very difficult time.

This donation is for Dan to purchase bonus bonds for Hunter for his 2nd birthday and his first without his mum. I would like this money to be used for Dan to purchase bonus bonds in Hunters name. If the winnings are left to compound over the years Hunter will be able to access the money for education, travel etc. Others can add to the bonus bonds instead of spending money on more toys he may not need.
