Hawke's Bay
Hello I’m the Mother of Bryson Howard. He is a 4 year old ‘Little Champion’ who has a condition called ATR-X syndrome (Alpha-Thalassemia Mental Retardation Syndrome), this was not diagnosed until he was nearly two years old (a long and arduous battle for myself and Tayler Howard – his loving parents, not knowing what was wrong with our little man) . As it turns out, it's a spontaneous condition, which has shown no family history. ATR-X syndrome causes serious developmental delays which means he may never walk or talk. This is an extremely rare condition with less than 300 cases documented worldwide; he's currently the only one in New Zealand. We would love your support to help raise the funds needed to get the right equipment to help further develop Bryson's movement. Since he is now crawling it is our aim to aide him any way we can to assist him to hopefully walk! this may mean by purchasing privately funded suits, equipment etc. With the determination that this boy is showing anything is possible!!
I am involved with this cause as Bryson is my Son and I want the best for him and the opportunity to seek any form of aide to help further his development
